[ THE NAGA CITY COUNCIL ]

The City's Law-making Body

The Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Lungsod ng Naga (The Naga City Council), is the city’s law-making body, responsible for crafting ordinances and resolutions that also form part of the local government’s policies. The body meets every Tuesday, four times in a month, for its regular sessions. The sitting Vice-Mayor is also the presiding officer of the Sanggunian. The City Council regularly meets every Tuesday at the Session Hall of the Sangguniang Panglungsod. The new set of members of the City Council officially take over the legislative aspect of governance starting July 1, 2022. They will serve their term for the next three (3) years. Standing Committees

In accordance with the Local Government Code of the Philippines, Standing Committees are created at the start of the council's first regular session when it adopts or updates its existing Rules of Procedure.
