AN ORDINANCE MANDATING THE CITY HEALTH OFFICE (CHO) TO EXTEND PRIMARY HEALTH CARE ASSISTANCE TO PERSONS DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY (PDL) IN THE NAGA CITY DISTRICT JAIL MALE AND FEMALE DORMITORY UTILIZING THE EXISTING CLINIC THEREIN, FOR AT LEAST TWO (2) HOURS ONCE A MONTH OR AS NECESSARY:-

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The Naga City District Jail Male and Female Dormitory is lobbying for an ordinance establishing a primary health care facility or providing support to the existing clinic within its compound due to inadequate available health care services to the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The city government fully supports this initiative as it will ensure the well-being of the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) inside the Naga City District Jail Male and Female Dormitory, as well as the general public.

This request for primary health care assistance to the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) in the Naga City District Jail Male and Female Dormitory can be responded to by the City Health Office, given its available resources and health care personnel.

Thus, this ordinance.

SECTION 1. The Naga City Health Office (CHO) is hereby mandated to extend primary health care assistance to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) in the Naga City District Jail Male and Female Dormitory utilizing the existing clinic within its compound, for at least two (2) hours once a month or as necessary, to be undertaken by the following health care personnel:

1 Medical Doctor
1 Nurse

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
