Highlights

  • Reorganizes the CYO Program’s Executive Committee to include updated representation from:
    • Government sector: SP Youth and Sports Committee, Empowerment Committee, Jesse M. Robredo Center, NYC, CEPPIO, and Naga City Council for Youth Development.
    • NGO/Private sector: Metro Naga Chamber, Naga City People’s Council, City Hall Press Corps, incumbent CYO Mayor, and JCI.
  • Chairperson and Vice Chairperson to be elected annually from among members; secretariat duties assigned to the City Youth Development Office.
  • Each participating agency/organization must submit their representative’s name yearly; formation of the committee is formalized by Executive Order from the City Mayor.

ORDINANCE NO. 2024-063

AN ORDINANCE FURTHER AMENDING SECTION 22-2 OF CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2012-035, ENTITLED, “AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A COMPREHENSIVE CODE FOR THE YOUTH IN NAGA CITY AND OTHER PURPOSES AND PROVIDING FUNDS THEREOF”, BY REORGANIZING THE COMPOSITION OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE NAGA CITY YOUTH OFFICIALS PROGRAM:

SECTION 1. Section 22-2 of City Ordinance No. 2012-035, as amended by City Ordinance No. 2019-023, is hereby further amended, now to read as follows:

“SECTION 22-2. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. A committee is established to oversee and facilitate the selection process of the City Youth Officials Program. The committee shall be composed of representatives from the following agencies and organizations:

a. Government Sector:

  1. Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Youth and Sports Development
  2. Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on People Empowerment
  3. Jesse M. Robredo Center for Good Governance
  4. National Youth Commission
  5. City Events, Protocol, and Public Information Office
  6. Naga City Council for Youth Development

b. NGO-PO- Private Sector:

  1. Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry
  2. Naga City People’s Council
  3. City Hall Press Corps
  4. Incumbent City Youth Mayor
  5. Junior Chamber International

For every year of the program’s implementation, the name of the official representative of each agency and organization shall be submitted to the Office of the City Mayor. The City Mayor shall subsequently issue an Executive Order formalizing the Committee’s formation upon receipt. As soon as the Order is issued, the members shall elect a Chairperson and Vice Chairperson from among themselves and may establish any number of working committees they deem necessary. The Youth Development Office of Naga City shall function as the Secretariat.”

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall immediately take effect upon approval.

ENACTED: June 11, 2024.
