AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2020-113, PARTICULARLY SECTION 2 THEREOF, BY ADDING SOLO PARENTS TO BE ENTITLED WITH TWENTY PERCENT (20%) FARE DISCOUNT, IN FURTHERMORE OF THE INTENT OF REPUBLIC ACT. 8972
Summary: This ordinance amends City Ordinance No. 2020-113 by adding solo parents to the list of individuals entitled to a twenty percent (20%) fare discount on regular and special franchise trimobiles, e-trikes, and taxicles. This means solo parents, like senior citizens and persons with disabilities, will pay Php12.00 instead of Php15.00, provided they show a valid identification card. This amendment is in furtherance of Republic Act No. 8972, also known as the Solo Parents’ Welfare Act.
