NAGA CITY — The City Government has now implemented the new public transport fare reduction for Public Utility Trimobile, Electric Tricycle, Taxicles and Padyaks (pedicab), effective October 1, 2022.

Pursuant to Ordinance No. 2022-071 authored by Councilor Joselito Del Rosario, any regular, special trimobile, and PUVs mentioned above are allowed only four passengers. Its regular fare now rates P13 per rider previously P15 for the first three kilometers.

Discounted fare for students, persons with disabilities, senior citizens and solo parents is now P10.50 from P12.

Padyaks (pedicabs) are allowed two passengers only with regular P10 fare and P8 for discounted passengers.

The LGU orders qualified passengers to present their updated identification cards to be granted discount.

The ordinance also provides the following penalties for any driver or operator who refuses to comply with the matrix: 1st offense, P2,000; 2nd offense, P3,500; and 3rd offense, P5,000.

The government enjoins Nagueños to report any violations to public safety office hotlines 0908-885-3000, 0963-220-9700, or 0908-525-3000.
