FUNCTIONS

1. Conducts committee/public hearings on matters referred to it by the Sangguniang Panlungsod and recommends action thereon;
2. Conducts research and development programs that would determine the feasibility of establishing industrial complexes within the City of Naga;
3. Conducts studies and recommends industries that would enhance the growth and development of Naga City as an Industrial Center;
4. In coordination with the Office of the City Treasurer, formulates incentive plans and programs that would encourages and motivate businessmen and large corporations to set-up/establishes their industrial complexes/branches/subsidiaries within the city;
5. Studies control of water resources in relation to power development and flood control;
6. Appraises and publishes opportunities for the establishment of new industries and investments;
7. Appraises and publishes list of mineral resources including geo-logical, geo-physical and other techniques of location;
8. Coordinates with the Committee on Land Use and Ecology on the implementation of the rules and regulations governing ecological control and balance as applicable to the industry concerned;
9. Studies and recommends the conducts of trade fairs and commercial displays to improve commercial and trade communication between the City of Naga and Industrial entities;
10. Conducts studies on Industrial Organization and Management;
11. Establishes linkages with local or national government agencies concerned;
12. Performs such other functions as the Sanggunian may adopt.
