FUNCTIONS

1. Conducts committee/public hearings on matters referred to it by the Sangguniang Panlungsod and recommends action thereon;
2. Prepares and recommends measures to update National Building and Construction Code and the Fire Code;
3. Studies and reviews proposed building and construction projects to ensures conformity with the Building and Construction Code;
4. Studies and recommends the construction of the city roads, bridges, public buildings and public parks. Ensures that the proper repair and maintenance measures are implemented;
5. Reviews the necessary project studies for any public building, structure needed by the city and/or recommended for construction. Make the necessary representation with all agencies concerned.
6. Monitors the implementation of laws and ordinances relative to city infrastructure projects;
7. Performs such other functions as the Sanggunian may
8. adopt.
