Summary: This ordinance aims to strengthen the Information and Technology Office (ITO) of Naga City. It aligns with the state policy of recognizing ICT’s vital role in nation-building and promoting the government as a model user of ICT to deliver core public services. The ordinance also seeks to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission by limiting non-essential movement and congregation of people, consistent with the declared State of Public Health Emergency. The ITO’s expanded functions include establishing and managing IT-related systems, developing programs for the effective implementation of the ordinance, and regularly updating the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
