AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2020-046, ENTITLED: “AN ORDINANCE INSTITUTING MEASURES TO PROMOTE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY AND PROTECTION AGAINST THE CONTINUING THREAT OF COVID-19 OR ANY SUCH EMERGING INFECTIOUS DISEASES, IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES”, SPECIFICALLY SECTION 10 THEREOF BY CHANGING THE CURFEW HOUR
This ordinance amends Section 10 of Ordinance No. 2020-046, which originally imposed a curfew from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The amendment adjusts the curfew hours to 12:00 midnight to 4:00 a.m., in line with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Memorandum Circular No. 20-39, allowing dine-in food establishments to operate until 11:00 p.m.

The measure responds to the request of the Metro Naga Chamber of Commerce and Industry and balances public health protocols with economic considerations for the food sector.
