While in the stage of budget preparation, the City Budget Office of the city government of Naga said that it is likely to endorse for Sangguniang Panlungsod approval an annual budget of P1.6-B for year 2022. The LGU’s budget last year was P1.4 billion.
Saying that the city government is already looking beyond Covid to lay down the foundation for Naga’s sustained growth and development, the city mayor reported some of the LGU’s completed and ongoing high-impact projects.
“The purpose is to limit the people entering the city from any town, province and region, especially those who have no essential business or purpose like when we are in modified enhance community quarantine, although we are observing at present the protocols and standards of a general community quarantine with heightened restrictions,” Garchitorena said.
Lloyd Lara, Social Welfare Officer II of DSWD Disaster-based Management Division, said the granting of financial assistance in the total amount of P13,100 to each typhoon victim began last August 24 and will end on August 27, this year.
Because of the awards, a commendation was given by the LGU to the NCPO. The LGU also assures the NCPO of its continued support in the undertaking of the local police’s mandated tasks.
