AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1.3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 949 BY RENAMING LIBOTON STREET IN BARANGAY LIBOTON TO J. ANTONIO M. CARPIO STREET IN HONOR OF THE LATE NATIONAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION (NBI) DIRECTOR ATTY. JESUS ANTONIO MATAMOROSA CARPIO, ONE OF THE DISTINGUISHED SONS OF BARANGAY LIBOTON AND OF NAGA CITY
This ordinance amends Section 1.3 of Ordinance No. 949, officially renaming Liboton Street in Barangay Liboton to J. Antonio M. Carpio Street. The renamed street stretches from the corner of Jacob Street and M.T. Villanueva Avenue to the entrance of Filoville Subdivision in Barangay Calauag.
The ordinance honors the late Atty. Jesus Antonio Matamorosa Carpio, a distinguished figure born and raised on Liboton Street. His achievements include:
The City Engineer’s Office (CEO) and City Events, Protocol and Public Information Office (CEPPIO) are tasked with installing new signage for the renamed street.
