Summary: Hon. Cecilia “Nene” de Asis has a long career in public service beginning as a legal researcher and Admin Officer at the Sanggguniang Panlungsod.  She was later elected as councilor, serving for a total of 18 years in that capacity. De Asis ran virtually unopposed for Vice Mayor in 2019. This is her second term as Vice-Mayor.

Outside of her work in the City Council, she is active in the Bantay Famillia Program as a staunch champion of the welfare of the Nagueño family, an advocate of gender and development and the rights of children.
