ORDINANCE NO. 2021-073

AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A LABORATORY FEE OF TWO THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED PESOS (P2,800.00) ON REVERSE TRANSCRIPTION-POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION (RT-PCR) TEST CONDUCTED AT THE CITY’S MOLECULAR LABORATORY AND ENUMERATING THE EXEMPTIONS THEREON:-

Sponsor: Hon. Jose C. Rañola, M.D.

Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Naga, that:

SECTION 1. A Laboratory Fee of P2,800.00 is herein imposed on each Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test conducted by the city government’s molecular laboratory;

SECTION 2. A 20% discount shall be granted to senior citizens, persons with disabilities and solo parents;

SECTION 3. The following persons are exempt from paying the testing fee:

  1. Persons in the city government isolation and quarantine facilities who are recommended for testing by facility doctors;

  2. Persons identified as suspects or probable cases by the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) or by the city’s contact tracers and are endorsed for testing by the City Health Officer or by the Head of the Naga City Hospital;

  3. Persons swabbed as a result of swab cab operations of the city government.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval, and after publication in a newspaper of local circulation.
