Summary: This ordinance declares the month of February of every year as “Naga City Dental Health Month,” aligning with the nationwide observance of National Dental Health Month. Enacted in response to the high prevalence of oral health problems in the city, it aims to institutionalize programs and activities to effectively raise dental health consciousness among the populace. The ordinance mandates the Local Government Unit and its subdivisions, all 27 barangays, and relevant government agencies within Naga City to celebrate and participate in this observance through various activities such as seminars, symposia, and lectures. The City Health Office, particularly its Dental Section, is designated as the lead agency, with assistance from Barangay Health Offices. Funds are to be appropriated annually to support these activities.
