Summary: This ordinance strengthens support for Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) in Naga City by providing limited security of tenure for Accredited BHWs (ABHWs), increasing their monthly honorarium to Php1,250.00 plus a year-end bonus, and setting clear guidelines for Recognized BHWs (RBHWs) based on training and performance. It ensures each zone or purok has adequate BHW coverage, assists BHWs in availing benefits under RA 7883, and grants retirement aid for ABHWs with at least 10 years of service who retire at age 60 or older. Funds come from the Special Purpose Appropriation, retroactive to January 2012.
