AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING OWNERS OF ALL REGISTERED BICYCLES TO HAVE THEIR UNIT(S) INDIVIDUAL SERIAL NUMBER CORRESPONDING TO THEIR REGISTRATION OFFICIAL RECEIPT NUMBER STENCILED ON THEIR AXLE FOR IDENTIFICATION PURPOSES

Summary: This ordinance mandates that all registered bicycle owners in Naga City must have their bicycle’s individual serial number stenciled on its axle for identification purposes. The stenciled number must match the official registration receipt issued by the City Treasurer’s Office. The City Treasurer or an authorized representative will perform this service for a fee of P10.00 per unit. A Master List of registered bicycles, including owner details and stenciling dates, will be maintained by the City Treasurer. A 25% surcharge will be imposed annually on bicycles not stenciled during their initial registration year and for each subsequent year the number remains unstenciled. The ordinance took effect upon its approval and local publication.
