The City Government of Naga elevated its emerging startup community in the country’s biggest annual startup conference through an immersion trip and a regional showcase event held in the third week of November during the Philippine Startup Week (PHSW) 2022.
In partnership with BEECALL TBI, a Bicol-based technology incubator, and HAKA Naga, the city’s startup community group, Naga City brought 30 delegates to the conference in Metro Manila from November 14-16, 2022. The delegation consisted of Bicolano startups and startup enablers from the private sector and the academe.
Dubbed the country’s largest nationwide 5-day startup conference, PHSW brings in 100+ startup events co-organized by more than 70 community partners all over the country. It has brought an insightful immersion experience to the Bicolano startup founders and enablers as they learned and networked with leading industry players in the startup ecosystem. This year’s hybrid startup gathering also recognized the vibrant startup community in Naga, being one of the 5 cities in the Philippines that made it to the Global Startup Ecosystem Index by StartupBlink during the live events and through the regional showcase organized by BEECALL TBI.
The Naga City Startup Community Immersion Trip to the Philippine Startup Week is part of the city’s Startup Ecosystem Development Program that is funded by the National Innovation Council.
