Araw ng Kagitingan

The Day of Valor, officially known as Araw ng Kagitingan, is a national observance in the Philippines which commemorates the fall of Bataan to Japanese troops during World War II. Also known as Bataan Day. Araw ng Kagitingan is a regular holiday in the Philippines.

Camarines Sur Foundation Day

In accordance with RA 9410 , May 27 is a Special Non-Working Holiday in the Province of Camarines Sur, including the cities of Naga and Iriga, in commemoration of its Annual Foundation Anniversary. May 27 is also the birth anniversary of the late Jesse M. Robredo, former DILG Secretary and Mayor of Naga City.  

Philippine Independence Day

On June 5, 1898, Aguinaldo issued a decree at his house located in what was then known as Cavite El Viejo proclaiming June 12, 1898 as the day of independence. The Acta de la Proclamacion de la Independencia del Pueblo Filipino was solemnly read by its author, Ambrosio Rianzares Bautista, Aguinaldo's war counselor and special delegate. The 21-page declaration was signed by 98 Filipinos, appointed by Aguinaldo, and one retired American artillery officer, Colonel L. Eid al-Adha

Eid al-Adha or the Feast of Sacrifice is the second of the two main holidays celebrated in Islam (the other being Eid al-Fitr). In Islamic tradition, it honours the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God's command. Depending on the narrative, either Ishmael or Isaac is referred to with the honorific title "Sacrifice of God". However, before Abraham could sacrifice his son in the name of God, and because of his willingness to do so, God provided him with a lamb to sacrifice in his son's place.
