FUNCTIONS
- Conducts committee/public hearings on matters referred to it by the Sangguniang Panlungsod and recommends action thereon;
- Recommends to the Sangguniang Panlungsod
management and control programs for the efficient and effective operation of the Naga City People’s Mall including all satellite markets and “talipapa” and other similar economic enterprises; - Recommends policies for the proper allocation and assignment of stalls and spaces in the public market and of concessionaries in the satellite markets and ‘‘talipapa*;
- Formulates a system of rental rates for every available market spaces authorized for lease;
- Conducts a continuing program of research and development in the field of market operation;
- Monitors the implementation of laws and ordinances relative to the City’s market enterprises
- Performs such other functions as the Sanggunian may adopt
