COMMITTEE ON FAMILY AND CHILDREN

FUNCTIONS

1. Conducts committee/public hearings on matters referred to It by the Sanggunlang Panlungsod and recommends action thereon;
2. Recommends policies and programs for the upllftment of family, gender development and women relationship;
3. Formulates measures that will enhance the dignity and image of our women;
4. Ensures the effective implementation of all programs, measures and related ordinances that protect family and women’s right;
5. Establishes linkages with the local and national government agencies concerned;
6. Ensures dissemination of information and literature pertaining to women and family;
7. Recommends policies and programs to strengthen the moral values and social responsibilities of women and parents;
8. Formulates measures that will enhance the dignity of the family;
9. Ensures the effective implementation of all programs, measures and related ordinances that protect family traditions;
10. Performs such other functions as the Sanggunian may adopt.
