COMMITTEE ON CULTURE AND THE ARTS

FUNCTIONS

1. Conducts committee/public hearings on matters referred to It by the Sanggunlang Panlungsod and recommends action thereon;
2. Recommends programs, policies and strategies for the promotion of culture and the arts as well as tourism;
3. Recommends policies for the proper Implementation of the Periafrancia Festivities and other socio-cultural and tourism activities of the city;
4. Establishes linkages and coordinates with government agencies and socio-civlc organizations In the promotion of culture and the arts and tourism;
5. Propose the naming and renaming of all streets in the city of Naga;
6. Recommends programs and projects that will encourage the development of city’s natural resources, such as waterfalls and springs. into tourist attractions;
7. Performs such other functions as the Sanggunian may adopt.
