Summary/Additional Info:
Summary: This ordinance regulates water usage in Naga City by prohibiting electric water booster pumps directly connected to Metro Naga Water District (MNWD) lines unless drawing from a reservoir. It mandates that residential subdivisions, various commercial and industrial establishments, hotels, hospitals, larger apartment/condominium buildings, educational institutions, and buildings over two storeys must have their own water systems. If no local potable source is available, MNWD connections are allowed with a reservoir. All drinking water must pass MNWD and City Health Office potability tests. New water system installations require MNWD clearance and supervision. Establishments in the Central Business District have one year to comply, others six months. Building permits and plumbing plans must conform to this ordinance. Violations are punishable by up to one year imprisonment or a fine of up to P5,000.00, or both. The ordinance became effective upon approval, posting, and publication.
