Summary/Additional Info:
Summary: This ordinance, known as the “Naga City Abattoir Water Distribution Ordinance,” regulates the distribution and sale of potable water sourced from the deep well at the Naga City Abattoir. It authorizes the sale of this water for both residential and commercial purposes, in addition to its use in abattoir operations. Residential consumers must apply with the Abattoir Manager, pay application and installation fees, and provide materials for their water line connection. Commercial consumers who fetch water by tanker are subject to a Mayor’s permit fee and bulk sale fees based on the number of loadings. Fees are collected by the City Treasurer’s Office. The ordinance prohibits the sale of this water to buyers who intend to transport and resell it in neighboring municipalities, and bulk sales are exclusively permitted at the Naga City Abattoir in Barangay Del Rosario. Violators face fines ranging from P500.00 to P1,000.00, or imprisonment from one to six months, or both, at the court’s discretion. The ordinance took effect upon its approval.
