Summary: This ordinance amends Ordinance No. 93-019, which established the “USWAG Kabuhayan sa Barangay” (USWAG) Livelihood Assistance Program. The core amendment is the change in the source of the initial Three Hundred Thousand (P300,000.00) Pesos program fund. Originally from the Calendar Year 1992 Surplus Fund, the funding will now come from the 1993 Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA). The program’s objective to enhance self-employment among barangay constituents and the creation of a trust fund for repayments remain unchanged. The ordinance became effective upon its approval.
