Summary: This ordinance amends Section 3 of Ordinance No. 107, Series of 1952, which prohibits the hanging or spreading of laundry on sidewalks, public alleys, and other public places. The amendment revises the penalties for violations: a fine of One Hundred (P100.00) Pesos for the first offense ; a fine of Three Hundred (P300.00) Pesos for the second offense ; and for the third offense, a fine not exceeding Five Hundred (P500.00) Pesos or imprisonment not exceeding six (6) months, or both, at the court’s discretion. “Laundry” is defined to include clothes, clothing materials, and other articles intended for drying or sunning. The ordinance took effect immediately upon its approval.
