Summary: This ordinance amends Sections 2, 3, and 4 of Ordinance No. 813, Series of 1982, which previously outlined guidelines for dormitories and boarding houses in Naga City. The updated ordinance expands its scope to include bed spaces and rooms for rent. The primary goal is to ensure that student youth and working minors residing in these accommodations have sufficient shelter, live in a safe and healthy environment, and are protected from exploitation or harmful influences. New definitions for “BED SPACE” and “ROOM FOR RENT” are introduced. Additionally, a new licensing fee schedule is established, levying Twenty (P20.00) pesos per annum for every bed space or room rented, with the possibility for the Sangguniang Panlungsod to adjust fees over time. The ordinance took effect immediately upon its approval.
