Summary/Additional Info:
Summary: This ordinance regulates the vending and peddling of cooked foods in Naga City by requiring all vendors—whether stationary or peddling—to secure an annual health certificate from the City Health Office and a business permit from the City Treasurer’s Office. It enforces strict sanitation standards, such as covering and properly wrapping cooked foods, using containers with faucets for drinks, and providing proper utensil washing facilities. Vending counters must be mobile, equipped with covered trash cans, and kept clean. Selling unsafe or prohibited cooked food is banned. The City Health Officer and Sanitary Inspectors enforce the rules, with violators facing a ₱200 fine or up to three months’ imprisonment, and equipment used in violations may be impounded. The ordinance took effect fifteen days after approval.
