NAGA CITY – The City Government will send a clearing to the island-province of Catanduanes, which was ravaged by ST “Pepito” (Man-Yi) as it made first landfall Saturday evening (No. 16, 2024).
In its official Facebook page, the Naga City Government, through Mayor Nelson S. Legacion, announced it would send a team to Catanduanes to support clearing operations in the island’s devastated areas. In the statement dated November 17, the City leadership cited the help received by Naga from fellow Bicolanos in the aftermath of Typhoon Kristine.
Mayor Legacion also appealed to Naga residents for donations to the victims of ST Pepito in Catanduanes, which he said could be channeled through the city government as well as other organizations and institutions that have similar efforts.
Meanwhile, the suspension of classes as well as work in government and private sectors have been lifted. Clearing operations in the city also continue.
