With a strong display of civic spirit and youth empowerment, Naga City formally welcomed its newest set of youth leaders for the 2025–2026 service year during a solemn and inspiring Oath-Taking Ceremony held at the Naga City Hall Grounds. Administered by Mayor Nelson S. Legacion, the ceremony marked not only a formal assumption of responsibilities but also the culmination of a rigorous selection journey filled with vision, service, and purpose.
Long before the official oath was recited, the journey began with a clear call: “Be the change, lead the youth.” The Naga City Youth Officials Program opened its application process to all young Nagueños inviting the next generation of leaders to step up.
This year’s lineup includes representatives from 16 barangays, reflecting both diversity and a shared commitment to service. The highest numbers came from:
- Bagumbayan Sur and Cararayan (7 officials each)
- San Felipe (6 officials)
- Concepcion Grande (4), Tabuco (4), Balatas (3), Calauag (3)
- Others: Liboton, Sabang, Mabolo, Abella, Pacol, Santa Cruz, Tinago, Triangulo, and Bagumbayan Norte (1 official each)
The geographic spread ensures that voices from all corners of the city are brought to the policy-making table.
Then came the highlight: the official oath-taking. With raised hands and resolute hearts, the new City Youth Officials pledged to uphold the duties and values of their office.

The oath is more than a ritual; it is a binding commitment to lead with integrity and act with purpose. They will work in tandem with the City Government, proving that empowered youth are not just leaders of tomorrow but of today. Mayor Legacion urged the youth officials to lead courageously, listen intentionally, and serve wholeheartedly. He emphasized that this experience is a springboard for lifelong leadership.
As the city continues its legacy of participatory governance, these officials represent a generation unafraid to dream, to serve, and to lead.
