On the last three days of the Peñafrancia Novenario, from Thursday to Saturday, a Dawn Penitential Procession is held at the Cathedral at 3:30am along the major streets of Naga City. It is the custom in these processions that only women are allowed to carry the Andas of Ina.

After a Holy Mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral (slated for 1:00 PM today Sept. 14) contingents from different schools will commence on a specified route to the Plaza Quezon for another edition of the most colorful and awe-inspiring Peñafrancia Pilgrim Streetdance Competition which will culminate at the Plaza Quezon. The now-iconic spectacle was developed by the Development Institute for Bicolano Artists (DIBA) Foundation, headed by Mrs. Amelita Zaens, years ago to rival other regional street dance festivals, and as a tribute to the profound and passionate devotion of Bicolanos to the Our Lady of Peñafrancia and Divino Rostro.
Sept. 15, 2023 is a special (non-working) in the municipalitiees of Bombon, Canaman, Calabanga, Camaligan, Gainza, Libmanan, Magarao, Milaor, Minalabac, Ocampo, Pasacao, Pamplona, Pili, San fernando and Bula, in accordance with Presidential Proclamation 332.
