FUNCTIONS

1. Conducts committee/public hearings on matters referred to it by the Sangguniang Panlungsod and recommends action thereon;
2. Formulates measures to protect and uphold the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities, including but not limited to assisting the office (PDAO) dedicated to addressing, the issues and concerns of the PWDs, enforcement of existing pertinent laws, and such other programs, projects and activities related thereto;
3. Establishes working relationship with the National Commission on Disability Affairs and other government
   agencies; the local government offices and nongovernment organizations concerned of PWDs and the various sectors;
4. Performs such other functions as the Sanggunian may adopt.
