AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 2003-049 ENTITLED “AN ORDINANCE REVISING SECTION 22, ARTICLE VII OF ORDINANCE NO. 98-033 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE KAANTABAY SA KAUSWAGAN PROGRAM BY ADDING NEW SECTIONS THERETO AND IMPOSING GRAVIER PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS THEREOF” BY EXTENDING THE PERIOD OF AVAILMENT OF THE OPTION FOR LEGITIMATION OF OCCUPANCY BY URBAN POOR BENEFICIARIES IN THE CITY’S RESETTLEMENT PROJECTS

Summary: This ordinance extends the period for urban poor beneficiaries in Naga City’s resettlement projects to legitimize their occupancy. It amends Section 2 of Ordinance No. 2003-049, which previously revised Section 22, Article VII of Ordinance No. 98-033 (known as the “Kaantabay Sa Kauswagan Program”). The amendment grants an additional period of “one (1) year from the effectivity of this Ordinance” for qualified illegal occupants of awarded lots under the city’s housing and resettlement program to exercise the option for legalization of possession. The ordinance took effect immediately upon its approval.
