Summary: Ordinance No. 95-043, enacted on June 14, 1995 by the 4th Sangguniang Panlungsod, amends Ordinance No. 93-103, known as “The Coconut Tree Anti-Cutting Ordinance”. This amendment adds Section 4.a, which levies fees and charges for cutting permits and the shipment of coconut products. Specifically, a permit to cut each coconut tree costs P5.00, and a shipment clearance for every load of coconut lumber leaving or entering the city’s jurisdiction from other municipalities costs P50.00 per load. These fees and charges are to be paid by the individual securing the cutting permit.
