Under an Order issued April 17, 2023 by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) Chairman Monalisa Dimalanta, the electric cooperative CASURECO II is obliged to implement lower power rates in its area of coverage.
This piece of good news for CASURECO II consumers was disclosed today by City Mayor Nelson Legacion in his Facebook account, following his conversation with the ERC Chairman and CEO.
Mayor Legacion said the coop should cut electricity rates to P10-11 per kwh or lower. CASURECO II was also ordered to refund the excess collection on power bills beginning May 26, 2015 up to the last billing.
The mayor’s post on the social media platform reads:
Sinusugo man an CASURECO II na i-refund an sobrang bayad sa kuryente poon Mayo 26, 2015 sagkod sa pinakahuring bill bago marecibe an nasabing ERC Order.
