Excerpt from the Explanatory Note:
At present, various universities and colleges utilize national and local agencies as venues for their student internship program. The objective of which is to provide students with opportunities to complement their formal learning with practical knowledge, skill, and desirable attitude and to gain hands-on experience in various workplaces. The City of Naga is one of those that values the importance of strong partnerships with the academe in providing quality education.
Thus, in order to support the promotion of the well-being of students, guarantee the quality of their learning and exposure and ensure their safety while undergoing their internship, this Ordinance is hereby proposed.
