Commencing the series of ICT events this week, the Regional ICT Summit and Exhibitions (RISE) 5 launched successfully at the Alingal Multipurpose Hall, Ateneo de Naga University, organized by the DICT in collaboration with the City Government of Naga, ADNU MAGIS TBI, Metro Naga ICT Council, and HaKa Naga.
This impactful event fosters the establishment of ICT councils, encourages collaboration among local stakeholders, and drives the development of Digital Cities and the Philippine Digital Ecosystems. Through insightful discussions, engaging panels, and collaborative initiatives, RISE lays the groundwork for a thriving ICT sector.
Mayor Nelson Legacion delivered a welcome address, emphasizing on the creation of 28,000 jobs by 2028, fueled by the growth of the IT-BPM industry in Naga. Atty. Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, DICT Undersecretary for ICT Industry Development, shared the importance of “M.A.G.I.C” – Making Academe, Government, and Industry Collaborate.
RISE also featured panel discussions and breakout sessions on Talent Development, Digital Workforce Competence, and Strengthening Business Environments, igniting collaboration opportunities that will shape the future of the ICT landscape in Naga City and in the whole Bicol region.
