As a cornerstone of the Idea2Startup Program led by the City Government of Naga through the Investment & Tourism Promotions Office, the recent Startup Bootcamp took place from September 21 to 28, 2023.
The Harong Katuod (HaKa) Naga, the local startup community group established through the efforts of LGU Naga, is spearheading a technology event entitled FutureTech on October 19 to 21, 2023 to showcase ICT products and services to the local community. The City Government of Naga is actively collaborating on this initiative, playing a vital role in fostering innovation and igniting the future of education. This event also serves as a component of the city’s Startup Development Program.
In a dedicated effort to bolster technopreneurship within the academe, the Naga City Government's Investment & Tourism Promotions Office (ITPO) collaborated with QBO Philippines - Ideaspace Foundation to conduct the 2nd consultation visit with prominent academic institutions, including Ateneo de Naga University, Bicol State College of Applied Sciences and Technology, Naga College Foundation, Inc., University of Nueva Caceres, and DepEd Naga last July 27-28, 2023.

“The city’s database on PWDs reveals that the sector has a current total strength that runs to more than 7,000 since 2016,” Atty. Paul John Barrosa, head of Persons with Disability Affairs Office said.
WANTING to ensure that the disability rights of the PWD children are protected, the city government of Naga has formally created the Naga City PWD Youth Association, which will enable the LGU to devote special care to the young ones by including them in its various services and projects as beneficiaries.
Naga City continues to solidify its position as a strong player in the Philippine startup ecosystem, advancing 48 spots in the global rankings of startup cities since its inclusion in the annual startup index in 2022.
