AN ORDINANCE FORMALLY CONFIRMING THE NAME AND DECLARING THE EXTENT OF LEON SA AUREUS ST. FRCM J. MIRANDA AVE. TO THE UNNAMED STREET TOWARD USWAG BALATAS, NAGA CITY
This ordinance formally confirms the name “Leon SA Aureus St.” for the road extending from J. Miranda Avenue, Concepcion Pequeña, to the unnamed street leading to Uswag Balatas, Barangay Balatas, Naga City. The road’s western end starts at coordinate 13.625885, 123.199690, and its eastern end is at coordinate 13.628222, 123.210466. The ordinance notes that while the road was already known by this name, no prior ordinance officially adopted it. Leon SA Aureus was the first City Mayor of Naga, appointed by President Elpidio Quirino in 1948, and naming the street after him is a recognition of his contributions to the city’s post-war development. The City Engineer Office (CEO) and the City Event Program Protocol and Information Office (CEPPIO) are mandated to install appropriate street signage along the street and at intersections.
