RESOLUTION NO 2025-640
RESOLUTION ENJOINING EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF NAGA TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EMOTIONAL WELLNESS MONTH IN CELEBRATION OF THE WORLD MENTAL HEALTH MONTH, STRESSING THE IMPORTANCE OF WELLNESS IN THE WORKPLACE:
On joint and collective motion
WHEREAS, the World Mental Health Month is globally observed every October to raise awareness on the importance of mental health and to promote the overall wellbeing among individuals, communities, and workplaces37;
WHEREAS, mental health plays an essential role in the productivity, satisfaction, and overall performance of employees, and fostering a supportive work environment contributes significantly to both personal wellness and organizational success;
WHEREAS, it is the duty of every institution to ensure that employees are given opportunities and resources to enhance their physical, emotional, and mental well-being, especially in light of various challenges in professional and personal life;
WHEREAS, the Local Government of Naga recognizes that an effective Employee Wellness Program promotes not only physical health but also mental and emotional resilience, which are crucial in maintaining a motivated and engaged workforce;
WHEREAS, the LGU-Naga, through the Human Resource Management Office, is actively organizing wellness sessions for employees, providing a supportive venue for open discussions of personal and work-related concerns, and offering guidance to promote the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of all personnel;
WHEREAS, this initiative is envisioned to become a year-round and more permanent program of the LGU, aimed at continuously fostering employee wellness in achieving its intended objectives for the long-term benefit of all personnel;
WHEREAS, the celebration of the World Mental Health Month presents a timely opportunity to launch and sustain activities directed toward awareness, relaxation, stress management and camaraderie among personnel to institute a culture of care and support in our workplace;
NOW, THEREFORE, on joint and collective motion of the Members of the 15th Sangguniang Panlungsod and the 2025 Senior Citizen Sangguniang Panlungsod;
BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to enjoin employees of the City Government of Naga to participate in the Emotional Wellness Month in celebration of the World Mental Health Month, stressing the importance of wellness in the workplace48.
LET COPIES of this resolution be furnished to all Heads of offices in the City Government of Naga, for their information and participation.
UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.
