This ordinance authorizes the construction and operationalization of the Naga City Primary Care Facility I by retrofitting the old Naga General Hospital building located along Peñafrancia Avenue. Functioning as the main service delivery facility of the City Health Office, it aims to deliver accessible, comprehensive, and globally competitive health services to all Nagueños. By establishing permanent staffing structures, creating specialized service delivery arms, and setting institutional funding channels, the ordinance ensures long-term operational sustainability for the city’s primary health sector.
Highlights of Proposed Ordinance
- EXPANDED AND SPECIALIZED SERVICES: In addition to general primary care, dental, diagnostics (X-ray/ultrasound), minor surgery, and maternal care, this facility specifically features a TB DOTS site, a Social Hygiene Clinic, and a dedicated Mental Health facility for psychiatric and psychological management.
