ORDINANCE NO. 2018-071
AN ORDINANCE FURTHER AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 93-049, S. 1993, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE “TRANSPORT & TRAFFIC CODE OF NAGA CITY” AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2001-086 SPECIFICALLY SECTION 134 THEREOF, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2002-010, ORDINANCE NO. 2004-099 AND ORDINANCE NO. 2005-002, BY ADDING TWENTY (20) UNITS OF PADYAK TO THE STA. CRUZ PADYAK OPERATORS AND DRIVERS ASSOCIATION (STC-PODA) TOTALLING THE NUMBER TO NINETY ONE (91) PADYAK UNITS TO OPERATE WITHIN THE ROUTE HEREIN SPECIFIED, AND APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TERMINAL AT JB STREET, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS:-

Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of Naga, that:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 93-049, s. 1993, otherwise known as the “Transport & Traffic Code of Naga City”, as amended by Ordinance No. 2001-086, as amended by Ordinance No. 2002-010, Ordinance No. 2004-099 and Ordinance No. 2005-002, is hereby further amended by adding Twenty (20) units of padyak to the Sta. Cruz Padyak Operators and Drivers Association (STC-PODA) totaling the number to Ninety One (91) padyak units to operate within the route herein specified, subject to certain conditions, now to read as follows:
“SECTION 134. Registration:
6. Each padyak for hire shall be allowed to ply only a specific route area which shall be identified according to the area covered by the accredited association.

Provided, that the franchisee/s must secure recommendation from the Barangay Council of Sta. Cruz.
SECTION 2. The establishment of a terminal at JP Rizal Avenue, Jolly Neighbors Subdivision is hereby approved, subject to certain conditions:
- That it shall not obstruct the flow of traffic, and a well maintained comfort rooms shall be provided;
- From the terminal, the pedicab drivers may unload and load passengers to any point of Barangay Sta. Cruz, and passengers going to Urban Queborac;
- From Urban Queborac, pedicab drivers are prohibited from transporting passengers going to the terminal.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval and after publication in a newspaper of local circulation.
