AN ORDINANCE FURTHER AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 93-049, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE “TRANSPORT AND TRAFFIC CODE OF NAGA CITY” AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NOS. 93-075, 93-090, 94-009, 94-001, 94-016, AND 94-045

Summary: This ordinance further amends Ordinance No. 93-049, known as the “Transport and Traffic Code of Naga City,” and also impacts other related ordinances (93-075, 93-090, 94-009, 94-001, 94-016, and 94-045). It introduces or modifies various traffic regulations within the city.

ORDINANCE NO. 94-049

AN ORDINANCE FURTHER AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 93-049, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE “TRANSPORT AND TRAFFIC CODE OF NAGA CITY” AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NOS. 93-075, 93-090, 94-009, 94-001, 94-016 AND 94-045: –

Be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Naga, that:

SECTION 1. – Sub-Section (u) is hereby added to Section 43 of Ordinance No. 93-049, as amended, to read as follows:

a. Barlin Street – From corner Arana Street to Corner P. Burgos Street direction South.

SECTION 2. – SECTION 45 of Ordinance No. 93-049, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:

“SECTION 45. – Within the Central business, a trimobile shall load and unload only within the marked enclosure of that trimobile station matching the trimobile’s color. These trimobile stations shall be located in front of, or within the vicinity of, the following landmarks:

SECTION 3. – SECTION 46 of Ordinance No. 93-049 as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:

“SECTION 46. Within the Central Business District, public utility jeepneys shall load and unload only within the market enclosure for jeepney stops which shall be painted on the pavement in bright orange. These jeepney stops shall be located in front of, or within the vicinity of the following landmarks:

SECTION 4. – SECTION 47 of Ordinance No. 93-049, as amended, is hereby further amended to read as follows:

“SECTION 47. – Carolina and Pacol bound PUJs shall use the Barangay Road at the back of the Chinese Commercial Building perpendicular to Padian Street as loading/unloading area.

SECTION 5. – Sub-sections (b), (g), (i), (s), (w), (x) of section 50 of Ordinance No. 93-049, as amended, is hereby further amended and sub-section (z) and (aa) are hereby added to read as follows:”

b. General Luna back Alley – Parallel parking alongside the center island (left side, direction north) from Corner Zamora to corner Padian.

g. E. Angeles Street – Parallel parking six meters from corner Ojeda IV to Aristocrat Hotel Entrance;

i. J. Hernandez Avenue Parallel parking left side, direction South, from garage entrance of the Grand Imperial Plaza Hotel up to Abella St. six (6) meters from both corners except in such portions where there are private parking spaces in which case oblique parking shall be observed;

s. J. Hernandez Avenue – Oblique parking left side, direction South, from corner Abella up to six (6) meters from Zamora Street to use the parking spaces of the public market and those of private establishments;

x. Arana St. Parallel parking from corner E. Angeles St. to corner General Luna Extension, left side only, direction West, except for areas designated as pedestrian lanes;

w. Prieto Street – Parallel parking from corner E. Angeles St. to Joedel’s before alley left side direction west;

z. Panganiban Drive Oblique parking in front of allied Bank and parallel parking in front of Union Bank left side direction South.

aa. E. Angeles St. – Oblique parking in front of Allied Bank and parallel parking in front of Union bank left side direction south.

SECTION 6. – The second paragraph of Sub-section 4 of Section 57 of Ordinance No. 93-049, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows:

ENTRANCE: From R.F. Pula (Naga housing Subdivision) proceed to Concepcion Road, then proceed to Panganiban Drive, right turn to Peñafrancia Avenue, left turn to Arana Street, left turn to: (a) Barlin Street, then right turn to P. Burgos Street and left turn to J. Hernandez Avenue.,

Or: (b) from Arana Street, left turn to J. Hernandez Ave.

SECTION 7. – REPEALING CLAUSE. – All ordinances, rules, orders and regulations or parts thereof inconsistent with any of the provisions of this ordinance is hereby modified accordingly;

SECTION 8. – This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval

ENACTED: May 27, 1994.
