As permitted by Archbishop Rolando Tirona because Pilgrims and Devotees of Inâ continue to come, the Octave of our Lady of Peñafrancia is celebrated in the Basilica. That is, on the Sunday, or eighth day of the Solemnity, all Masses are proper to the celebration of the Solemnity of our Lady of Peñafrancia. Monday through Saturday are days within the octave and Masses during these days are also proper to our Lady of Peñafrancia.
