The only way is up for the universities in Metro Naga in the most recent Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026! Metro Naga continues to strengthen its stance as one of Bicol’s leading education hubs, with three of the region’s six higher education institutions earning recognition in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026.

This year, Ateneo de Naga University made its debut, while Central Bicol State University of Agriculture and University of Nueva Caceres both improved their global standings from the previous year.

 

Unlike conventional university rankings, the THE Impact Rankings assess institutions based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), recognizing excellence in sustainability, research, innovation, community engagement, and societal impact.

With three ranked institutions located within Metro Naga, it provides convenient access to the region’s other recognized universities where knowledge, talent, and innovation converge to support long-term regional growth.
