FUNCTIONS

1. Conducts committee/public hearings on matters referred to it by the Sangguniang Panlungsod and recommends action thereon;
2. Studies and recommends appropriate tax and revenue structure and policies, strategies and procedures for the effective collection of taxes and other revenues;
3. Studies and recommends the comprehensive program for the administration and investment of public funds;
4. Recommends policies and procedures for optimal budget performance as well as internal control and proper record keeping;
5. Periodically reviews budget performance and recommends adjustments thereto;
6. Coordinates with government agencies on matters of the City’s fiscal administration;
7. Monitors the implementation of laws and ordinances and, especially, internal rules and procedures relative to
   revenues and expenditure;
8. Performs such other functions as the Sanggunian may adopt.
