NAGA CITY – As part of safety measures in connection with Typhoon Pepito (MAN-YI), a General Curfew has been imposed in the city through a Memorandum Order issued November 16, 2024, by City Mayor Nelson S. Legacion and will be in effect from 12:00 noon of the same day until further notice.

Under the memorandum, the following measures will be strictly implemented:

1. All residents are required to remain inside their homes or evacuation centers for their safety.
2. All private establishments are directed to suspend operations during the curfew period.
3. The operation of all vehicles, except those used for emergency response and essential services, is strictly prohibited.

This curfew excludes responding personnel from Incident Management Teams and members of the CDRRMC and barangay disaster risk reduction and Management Councils (BDRRMCs).

Meanwhile, classes in all levels in both private and public schools were suspended effective 1:00 pm of November 14, 2024 to give schools, officials, faculty and students ample time to prepare for Typhoon Pepito. Work in government and private sectors was also suspended effective 12:00 noon of November 15 until further notice.
