ADNU MAGIS TBI launches Cohort 2

NAGA CITY — On June 5, 2026, the Ateneo De Naga University (ADNU) MAGIS Technology Business Incubator (TBI) hosted the SHIFT Bicol and the IGNITE Cohort 2 Demo Day at the Richard Michael R. Fernando, SJ Conference Hall of Ateneo de Naga University. The event brought together students, faculty innovators, startup founders, and ecosystem partners to showcase the newest addition to the startup community incubated by the said TBI.

The morning session focused on brief discussions regarding artificial intelligence, innovation, and design thinking. To demonstrate the strong support network available to emerging businesses in the region, representatives from key government agencies—including the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the Naga City Investment Board (NCIB)—presented the various public programs and support mechanisms available to local startups and innovators.

In the afternoon, the program shifted to the IGNITE Cohort 2 Demo Day, themed “Impact Reimagined.” Seven local startups took the stage to pitch solutions designed to change the way communities learn, work, create, and support one another. The new startup ventures included Fillr, CODExA, ParkMo, Talassify, UNITE, Palet, and Naga Obserbar, each showcasing viable products and business models to address real-world challenges in education, mobility, digital services, and community development before a panel of mentors and ecosystem stakeholders.

The event concluded with dedicated networking opportunities, allowing founders to connect directly with mentors, investors, and academic institutions.  Incubation programs from the city’s partner TBIs prove that startup communities take root early in the region—cultivating local talent, fostering key partnerships, and building a stronger, more resilient startup ecosystem right here in the heart of innovation and the broader Bicol Region.
