The city government of Naga has reconstituted the composition of its Urban Development and Housing Board through Executive Order No. 012, series of 2025, in a bid to further strengthen its housing and urban planning efforts.
Signed by Mayor Leni Robredo on July 8, the directive expands the membership of the board to reflect recent changes in the city’s organizational structure and to enhance the delivery of services related to housing and urban development.
The reconstituted board serves as the city’s primary body in implementing and monitoring provisions of Republic Act No. 7279, also known as the Urban Development and Housing Act of 1992, as well as the flagship housing program of the city, Kaantabay sa Kauswagan.
Under the EO, Mayor Robredo will serve as chairperson, with City Councilor Jessie Albeus as co-chairperson.
Other members include representatives from the city government, urban poor sector, non-government organizations, and professional associations such as the United Architects of the Philippines, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, and the association of civil and geodetic engineers.
The executive order also recognizes the official inclusion of civil society organization (CSO) representatives from the Naga City People’s Council, as well as the results of the latest elections of the Naga City Urban Poor Federation, Inc., whose elected officers will now sit as part of the board.
